Joseph B. Mayers
|
Mr. Mayers graduated from The University of Pittsburgh in 1980. He received his law degree from Duquesne University in 1983. During law school he was a finalist in the school’s client counseling competition. Mr. Mayers served as a law clerk to the Honorable Perry J. Shertz of The Pennsylvania Superior Court in 1983. He is a member of the American, Pennsylvania and Montgomery Bar Associations. He is a member of the Defense Research Institute and the Philadelphia Association of Defense Counsel. Mr. Mayers has lectured on a variety of topics for a variety of organizations and insurance companies including the National Insurance Crime Bureau (NICB) and the International Association of Special Investigation Units (IASIU). Mr. Mayers specializes in all aspects of insurance defense and personal injury litigation as well as affirmative lawsuits on behalf of insurance carriers. He has extensive experience in matters involving auto liability, property and casualty insurance fraud, first and third party benefits, bad faith, uninsured and underinsured motorist benefits, property claims, insurance coverage, class actions, products liability and commercial litigation.
